Ingredients

  • 1 pack pre-made pizza dough or bread loaf slices enough to make 4 small pizzas
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese for gooey topping
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce spread over the crust
  • 6 pieces black olive slices or ketchup dots for eyes
  • to taste minced garlic optional, for added flavor
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil for brushing crust

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Knife

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Unroll or cut the bread into four small rounds, or use pre-made mini pizza bases if available.
  3. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over each bread base, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella generously over the sauce, covering the entire surface.
  5. Use a small spoon to create thin, uneven strips of cheese to resemble mummy bandages, layering across the top.
  6. Brush the crust edges lightly with olive oil to promote a crispy, golden finish.
  7. Bake the pizzas in the preheated oven until the cheese bubbles and the crust turns golden brown, about 12-15 minutes.
  8. Remove the pizzas from the oven and let them cool slightly for a minute.
  9. Using olives slices or ketchup, place two eyes on each mummy face to add facial expression.
  10. Serve immediately while hot, with crispy crust and gooey, cheesy tops, ready for Halloween fun!

Notes

Feel free to get creative with the eyes—use black olive slices, ketchup, or even small cheese cubes. For extra crispy edges, brush with olive oil before baking. Make multiple small mummies for a fun, party-worthy platter.
